Norreese L. Haynes has been advocating for teachers for over 17 years and is the founder of A.P.E. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Haynes has coached and worked in Clayton County Public Schools, the fifth-largest district in the state. He also served as a school board member for this district. Additionally, Mr. Haynes was the CEO and VP of MACE, a local teachers’ union in Georgia, where he learned to “aggressively fight” for teachers who are mistreated by their “lazy” administrators. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. Mr. Haynes is the proud father of six sons and one daughter: Honesty, Benjamin, Amos, Antavius, and Sincere.
Vice President
Rafael E. Garcia M.Ed. rejoins the A.P.E. family as Vice President. Mr. Garcia earned two Bachelor's degrees in Education and Spanish and a Master's degree in Education all from The Florida A&M University. He has experience as a classroom teacher, which enhances his deep understanding of the challenges that teachers encounter daily, particularly those stemming from ineffective administration. Mr. Garcia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our organization.
Chief Operating Officer
C. Darlene Curry Ed.S. Is a graduate of Spelman College, where she received her undergraduate degree in History with a minor in Sociology. She received her Masters and Specialist degrees in Education from Argosy University. She received her teacher’s certification from Clark AU. During Darlene’s tenure as an educator, she served as Team leader, Department chair, Grade level chair, and several other committees contributing to the wellbeing of all constituents. As a former educator with over 30 years of experience, Darlene understands the importance of order, inside and outside of the classroom. Once order is in place, effective teaching and learning will take place.

Mrs. Martin Haynes oversees the A.P.E. offices and serves as the primary contact for our members seeking A.P.E.’s services.

Mr. Leroy Walker has been supporting classroom teachers for over 20 years. As a former teacher, he understands the challenges educators face on a daily basis. Mr. Walker is a passionate advocate for teachers’ rights.
A.P.E. Chief Special Counsel
Attorney Daniels is highly effective in the courtroom and is renowned for his swift and aggressive cross-examinations. A.P.E. truly feels sorry for anyone who finds themselves on the receiving end of his questioning. Mr. Haynes remarked, “I have known Gabriel for a long time. He is a close friend, and he has a remarkable ability to extract the truth from any witness. I always take him into battle with me.”
A.P.E. Special Counsel
Attorney Ross has joined the A.P.E. legal team. His strong work ethic enabled him to earn his Juris Doctor degree in 2011, after which he began working with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for consumer law and helping clients who were often navigating some of the most challenging moments in their lives. In 2012, he founded his own law firm, The Ross Firm.

Mr. James Morrow Jr. has served as a public school teacher for many years and understands the critical role that discipline plays in our schools. This understanding is one of the driving factors behind his decision to run for the Georgia State Senate. If elected, his primary focus will be on reforming the state’s educational system. James has also expressed his commitment to providing greater support for teachers and developing mentoring programs in Georgia schools.
